Family Reunion

It is our desire to form committees to delegate the different responsibilities it takes to put together a reunion of this size. There are many responsible, imaginative and talented people amongst our family. We would like to recruit interested people for the various tasks available.

The tasks will be assigned on a volunteer bases and more than one person will be needed for most committees. Families are encouraged to volunteer for entire committees for the convenience of working close together. Please review the list of jobs and submit your name, qualification and resources that may be a benefit to the job you are interested in.

There will be one person that is named the "Chairman" of each Sub-Committee. This person will be responsible for updating the Reunion Chairman (that would be me!) on the progress of each project.

Please remember that even though the reunion is a year away, there is much work to do. The faster we fill these positions, the faster that we can get to the business of the reunion.

Memorabilia Committee	Irene Tyrrell-Chairman, Anna Dery	In charge of ordering and coordinating the T-shirt sales, buttons, etc.
Activities Committee		Plans and coordinates reunion day activities. Includes games and printing up the certificates and awards for the various winners of various awards. Also in charge of finding volunteers to run the games and activities if they can't do it themselves.
Transportation Committee	John Cordova-Pending	Sets up airport pickup, along with arrangements to shuttle members during the reunion.
Photography Committee	David Romero-Chairman	I'm looking for a professional or amateur photographer. Responsible for making sure the reunion is fully documented photographically. Once the photos are developed, the committee is responsible for noting which family members are in each picture.
Awards Committee		Sets criteria and supervises judges, recruits judges, orders honorary plaques, and presents awards.
Setup/Cleanup Committee		In charge of setting up chairs, tables and other items for the reunion. If items like barbecue grills are needed they are responsible for obtaining them. They also get to hang up decorations or banners. Also responsible for taking down chairs, tables and other items. Pick up area and get family members to help.
Decorations Committee	Isabel Aguilar - Chairman, Anna Rodriguez	Responsible for decorating tables and the facility in the "Mexican/Spanish" theme.
Accommodations Committee	Irene Tyrrell - Chairman	Responsible for finding accommodations for visiting guests. Can negotiate for blocks of rooms or discounts to pass on to the family members. Need someone that is really sneaky and knows how to negotiate!
Welcoming Committee		Responsible for welcoming the guests to the reunion. They are the ones who meet the guests at the front door, hand out welcome packages & monitor the guest book. They should perform any of the planned welcoming traditions.
Entertainment Committee	Irene Tyrrell	I would like to find a band that plays Hispanic music for Sat. night. Need someone who can research and coordinate this event.
Fund Raising Committee		This committee is in charge of planning and carrying out the various fundraising activities for the reunion. These can include auctions, raffles, etc. I have lots of great ideas!
